The two volumes now issued form the Collections of the New York Historical Society for the years 1924 and 1925, and are composed of the "Minutes of the Committee and of the First Commission for Detecting and Defeating Conspiracies" in the State of New York, from December 11, 1776 through September 23, 1778, the original of which is in the possession of the Society. To this is added, separately paged and indexed, the "Minutes of the Council of Appointment" in the State of New York, April 2, 1778 through May 3, 1779, a small original volume recently acquired by the Hon.
